Why "The Big Mill"?
This release takes its name from Britannia Mill, affectionately known throughout Leek simply as The Big Mill.
For over 170 years its six-storey tower dominated the town's skyline, standing as a symbol of Leek's internationally renowned silk industry and the generations of craftsmen and women whose skill helped shape the character of the Staffordshire Moorlands.
The illustration featured on the label is inspired by the mill itself and serves as a tribute to an important part of the town's industrial heritage.
The Mill Range
The Big Mill is the first release in our Mill Range, a collection celebrating the villages, mills and landscapes that have shaped the Staffordshire Moorlands.
Every future release will tell the story of another remarkable place through a carefully selected independent bottling.
